NT Government House Event - December 2016

It was a pleasure to be welcomed to Government House by The Administrator, His Honour, the Honourable John Hardy OAM and Mrs Marie Hardy for the Government House Foundation of the Northern Territory reception.

A diverse group of Territorians' enjoyed the ambiance of the heritage building, that has survived war and cyclones and hosted many of the Royal Family, for an evening event hosted by His Honour. 

An enjoyable evening was had by all.

NT Seniors Month - August 2015 - 'Territorians Talking'

I was pleased to be able to support the Genealogy Society of the NT by giving two talks during Senior Month, in Darwin. The subject of a soldiers observations and experiences on the Western Front in WW1 brought home the tragedy of war and assisted some attendees understand the behaviour of their grandfathers who did not quite fit in after their return from WW1. It also opened up discussion on the state of soldiers coming home from modern wars.

The second talk on Discovering the man who never was - the genealogist detective was well received and the positive feedback from attendees was most appreciated.
